A Ghastly Green Halloween

It's that time of the year again...

Pesky children bothering the old folks!

I thought that it would be nice to step back in time a little...to slow down the pace with a nice little old fashioned trick or treat...
I love the idea of a vintage Halloween...before all of the Boo stuff became popular...after all...some folks just want to eat lots of cake and cookies at a party...not a gruesome eyeball...mind you...some folks like the odd finger for a Halloween treat...
Honestly...there's no accounting for taste ;o)

I thought it might be nice to move away from the usual Halloween colours and what could be more ghastly than this awful shade of green? It really is ghastly! Then I also thought that purple would make a nice change too...but I couldn't resist the lure of the good old fashioned orange, so why not make them all!

So I have 'magicked' together a trio of Halloween Colours to tempt even the most jaded of palates (get it 'jaded', sorry)...and not a severed arm in sight!

All of the furniture has been hand painted and aged, the green tables have been crackled to make them look a little more ghastly (although they look quite clean in the photographs) and have been varnished for protection.

All of the goodies are hand made by me...from either polymer clay or paper.

There are all manner of delicious things to tempt...cakes, cookies, candy, lollipops...and of course, bags to carry everything in.

Everything is removable for you to place in your own style...and even mix-and-match if that's more to your taste ;o)

Now all repeat after me "Trick or Treat?"

This is a scale miniature, designed for collectors and, therefore, is not suitable for children.

It is 1/12th scale...(1" = 1 foot)
The table measures 2 1/2 inches high (6.5cm) and is almost 6 inches long (15cm) and 3 inches wide (7.5cm) approximately.

This ghastly little table has now been sold!

This Halloween dresser has all manner of goodies to fill those little Trick or Treat bags.
There's lots of candy on trays, cakes, lollipops, cookies, candy canes, jars of sweeties, bowls of little sweets, striped boxes with candies, a cauldron full of something pumpkin like (maybe sweet maybe savoury?), a little broomstick to fly around the neighbourhood causing mischief and also some pumpkins to add that Halloween charm and not forgetting those little treat bags to carry it all off with.

Everything is removable so can be placed wherever you choose.

The dresser has been painted orange and black (although the orange does look better in person) and then aged and varnished for protection.
