Every village has their own wise woman...she's usually easy to spot...but not always...
You may know her...she may be the person you go to, to heal those nasty agues that creep up on us unawares...
She may be the master of the herbs, with a store of knowledge gleaned through many years of practical study...
She could also be that silent mover through the woods...keeping herself to herself...yet always there in times of need...
She may be all of these things...but one thing is certain...she will have a good store of the necessary materials and equipment to work her magick...she will have plenty of herbal preparations ready to cure the ills of the village...and she will always be able to brew up a concoction to cure those nasty boils!
This dresser is made for my favourite wise woman...Peggety, a wonderful old dear with more wisdom of the world of nature than anyone I have ever met...if Peg can't cure it...it can't be cured...and like all wise women she never asks for payment...never takes a penny for her cures...she does this because she cares about folks...
That's how you know that she is real...
This little dresser contains all manner of goodies for the practising herbalist including ten bottles of real herbal preparations preserved in the bottles and containing the actual ingredients stated on the labels...therefore, they must not be used by children!
I have made the items from polymer clay, paper and other real herbal ingredients...there is also a jar of real myrrh and a censor of real frankincense...(but I wouldn't advise them being used, they wouldn't go very far in the "real" world he he he).
There is a selection of paper ephemera...a Goddess statue...a Green Man plaque...three pumpkins...bread, candles, tiny plant pots, fruit, fly agaric cap, pentacle, mortar, leaves and a Book of Shadows (non opening) all made from polymer clay...a cauldron of pumpkin soup...and a crystal ball, bell, and athame. There are also "potion bottles" but they do not contain real stuff...so don't you go trying them on anyone my pretty...they won't work! The dresser is crackle-glazed in a dark green with fine cracks. Everything is removable for you to place as you choose.
This is a scale miniature, designed for collectors and, therefore, is not suitable for children. It is 1/12th scale...(1" = 1 foot) The dresser measures 7 inches high (18cm) and is 5 1/2 inches wide (14cm)
Now all you need is your very own wise woman to use it...I can't send you Peggety as we need her here...sorry dearies!
